Jj Graces the Cover of Back To The Roots Magazine

"Back to the Roots Magazine is the only blues publication in the Dutch language written all about traditional blues styles and related musical genres such as blues, soul, gospel, Cajun, zydeco, boogie-woogie, doo-wop, R&B, etc. The magazine is published 5 times a year. Based in Belgium, the magazine has been in publication since 1995."

In the March edition, Back to the Roots focuses on the new generation of blues artists. In an extensive interview (14 pages!) with Philip Verhaege, Jj opens up about her tumultuous life, and her tenacious journey to following her dreams. She also talks about the vivid blues scene in Jackson, Mississippi- where she cut her musical teeth, and learned how to sing the blues.
